Very insightful blog.

I love music (although I have no talent for playing/producing this expressive art). Music is is very relevant to my daily life as it inspires me to write (my passion).

It's very satisfying that a special combination of notes (and perhaps lyrics) can spark something within me to express creative, meaningful thoughts on text.

I should lend you a book I have called 'A theory of fun' basically it's about learning and pattern recognition.

I think there is a lot of importance in the idea behind repetition in music, after all its one of the main themes in music - As humans in order to get good at something we have to essentially repeat ourselves over and over again, repeat, refine, learn, improve.

We also like the familar, but we get bored if the patterns are become too simple, so we like to seek out different things, but not too different.
